to Hartfield Playschool
Ours is a community playschool, located in its own premises in the old Hartfield railway station building offering a unique setting and exceptional all weather outdoor space.
Our setting is one of only a few in the local area accepting children from the age of 2.
We follow the current EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) guidelines and are proud to report our most recent Ofsted inspection was GOOD – with Outstanding aspects.

We hope you had a lovely Summer Holiday, albeit quite soggy, and are ready for all the fun we have planned at Playschool this term. We will be creating a display of our Summer holiday adventures and would really love each child to bring in 1 photo of themselves during the Summer, please start bringing them in as soon as possible.
Information and Tapestry forms
In your child’s tray you will find some forms which need to be completed and returned to playschool as soon as possible. These will enable us to tailor activites to your childs interests and also to start making updates to Tapestry their online learning journey .
Morning and Afternoon Snacks
Please bring a piece of fruit or vegetable (or two pieces if your child in is in session for a full day) and put in the outside fruit basket on the lunch trolley. These do not need to be named as they will be shared out. To give the children a variety of choice you can always add some bread sticks, crackers, dried fruit etc. (We provide semi skimmed milk and water).
