Ours is a community playschool, located in its own premises in the old Hartfield railway station building offering a unique setting and exceptional all weather outdoor space.
Our setting is one of only a few in the local area accepting children from the age of 2.
We follow the current EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) guidelines and are proud to report our most recent Ofsted inspection was GOOD – with Outstanding aspects.

Christingles – Friday 27th November 2015
Reverend Sear will be visiting us on make Christingles with the children who are in for this session. There will be a Christingle Service at St Mary’s Church on Sunday 29th November to which you are all invited if you are able to attend.
Christmas Performance – Tuesday 8th to Thursday 10th December 2015
We will be having an informal Christmas ‘Performance’. These will take place on the mornings of Tuesday 8th December and Thursday 10th December and the afternoon of Wednesday 9th December. If your child does not attend any of these sessions you are very welcome to bring them for one of the performances, details and timings will be available nearer the date.
Christmas Cake Sales- Tuesday 8th to Thursday 10th December 2015
Cakes will be on sale at collection times throughout the days of Tuesday 8th, Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th December 2015 so bring your pennies and bag yourself some treats. All proceeds go to playschool.
The final week of term as well as having fruit we will also be having a ‘treat’ in celebration of Christmas at snack time. It will probably involve chocolate biscuits (we hope the children enjoy them)!
Our 2015 Christmas Raffle tickets will be issued soon and distibuted in your childs tray. Not only will you be supporting playschool with any tickets you buy but this is a chance to win some super prizes.
The last day of term is Friday 18th December 2015. Playschool reopens on Monday 11th January 2016.

Fifty years celebrated with a day of Family Fun
On Saturday 27th June 2015 Playschool hosted a Family Fun Day to celebrate our Golden Jubilee. The weather was perfect and we had a great turn out, including Winnie the Pooh and Tigger! Thank you to everyone who attended and supported this event. All funds raised will go toward our fundraising target for improvements at playschool.
