Mindfulness & Yoga
Mindfulness and yoga are practices we adapt into our weekly routine and have seen how calming and beneficial this can be for the children.
By practicing mindful techniques and regulating breathing, anxiety and stress can be eased… and how wonderful to start early!
There are so many emotions to understand and part of our job as Early Years Practitioners is to help unravel those feelings and explain them. We have found Yoga gives us a fantastic chance to slow down, take a step back and let out our feelings through movement of our body.
We find that through teaching these practices, children are able to begin to self-regulate through transitions and everyday experiences.
