At Hartfield Playschool, we support and cater for children who have additional needs.

Our dedicated member of staff, Charlie, has undertaken her SENCO (Special Education Needs Co-Ordinator) training and is Level 3 qualified.

As a setting we have regard for the SEND Code of Practice and use the graduated approach of Assess, Plan, Do and Review.

​

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage, we also adapt the key principles that every child is unique and may require a different approach to learning and accesses the curriculum.

​

Some children may require extra support with

• Medical Conditions

• Physical needs or Impairments

• Understanding and Concentration

• Behavioural and Social Skills
